Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she is responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the rise and development of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry and covered the Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. In that period, she also reported on two impeachment proceedings for President Trump and the presdiential 2020 campaign, and two attempts by the administration to stop the pandemic of coronavirus. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan for a restricted trip. Prior to being hired by the channel in, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin is also adept at filmmaking, launched Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentary-style films for companies such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
